Many of the area's popular attractions are just a short drive away.

Wiggley Bottom Farm rubs shoulders with world-renowned wineries, specialist cheese-makers, tempting provedores, fabulous restaurants and cafes, farm-fresh produce and farmers' markets that entice visitors from the city and beyond. 

There are many ways to fill your deliciously lazy days in the Yarra Valley and if you need any advice we are happy to help. Here are some suggestions.

Wine Tour

Book an exclusive, private wine tour with Wiggley Bottom Farm. We visit unique wineries, taste gourmet local produce and have a 2 course lunch at one of the many fabulous Yarra Valley restaurants/wineries.  Ask about a wine tour when you book and leave the rest to us to arrange.

If you're bringing your dog to stay with you at Wiggley, why not take him/her along on your wine tour?  Our friends at Pooches And Pinot collect you from here in their Mercedes and take you to some fabulous nearby pet friendly cellar doors where your pooch is made to feel just as welcome as you!  Jump on to their website for more info and book direct with them

Four Pillars Gin

Four Pillars Gin is a fabulous addition to the pretty town of Healesville, just a few minutes drive from Wiggley – a fabulous gin distillery with tastings, demonstrations, a gin bar and regular masterclasses and great events.  A 'must 'on your to do list….

Yarra Valley Dairy

The Yarra Valley Dairy is located in an original 100 year old milking shed and offers tastings of fresh handmade cheeses – their sensational goats fetta has won many awards. de Bortoli winery also has a cheese room with amazing cheeses available for tasting.  Visit deBortoli and www.yvd.com.au

Ballooning

Domaine Chandon

Chandon is as impressive as its reputation would have you believe.  Contemporary and provincial in design, it is one of the Yarra Valley’s leading food and wine destinations. Innocent Bystander

Try a delicious sourdough wood-fired pizza at Innocent Bystander, one of only a handful of working wineries located in a town centre in Australia – taste their extensive range of wines and enjoy lunch or dinner off their paella/pizza menu. 

Hanrahan's Winery

Have you heard of reverse BYO!  You can take your own food to the winery and enjoy it alongwith their delicious wines. Bev, the charming host offers a warm and intimate cellar door experience and their views are divine. It's also pet friendly. Visit hanrahan.com.au

Healesville Sanctuary

Visit the world renowned Healesville Sanctuary, home to Australia's indigenous animals (just around the corner from Wiggley Bottom Farm).  They have amazing live shows daily, and I can personally recommend 'Spirit of the Sky' – a show featuring birds of prey. Marysville

The drive to Marysville through the Black Spur is spectacular with towering gum trees either side of the winding road.  Make sure you walk to Steavenson Falls when you get to the town too - the bush is still regenerating after the Black Saturday fires in 2009. Visit www.marysvilletourism.com

National Parks Victoria

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery

Love chocolate? Visit the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery and watch the art of chocolate making by the Belgian Chocolatiers who will amaze you with their chocolate making skills. Visit www.yvci.com.au

Yarra Valley Farmer's Market

The Yarra Valley Farmer's Market is held at Yering Station in their historic barn every third Sunday from 9am to 2pm and is a gorgeous setting for fabulous locally made, grown and produced items, plus coffee, brekky or even lunch!
